“A prophetic call for the Church to seek God for America’s next great spiritual awakening”

A Prophetic Call to Engage.

At The DC Awakening, the Holy Spirit is issuing a revolutionary call for the Church to engage culture and live out their faith in the public square.  God is challenging this generation to impact the arts, social justice, education, medicine, law, business, public policy and the media.

America is facing a grave moral crisis because of the cultural retreat of the church.  It has been the apathy and indifference of Christians that has brought our nation to the brink of moral anarchy and God’s judgement.  America’s only hope is for the Body of Christ to come together in radical surrender and obedience and seek God for a national spiritual awakening.

God is telling this generation NOW is the time to go to the streets of America and engage culture with the power of Christ.

Here are some Biblical verses which establish the mandate of “going” and “engaging”:

  • Matthew 28:19 “Go there and make disciples of all the nations…”
  • Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
  • Matthew 10:7 “And as you go, preach, saying the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
  • Luke 10:13 “Go your way, behold I send you out as lambs among wolves.”
  • Luke 14:20 “…go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and maimed and the lame and the blind.”
  • Acts 5:20 “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people the words of life.”
  • Romans 15:25 “But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.”
  • Galatians 2:9 “They gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the gentiles.”
  • Isaiah 1:8 “Also, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send and who will go for us?”
The DC Awakening will be praying that the Holy Spirit will inspire each person to step out of their fear and timidity and into and into the purposes of God for this generation.

“If a so-called religious belief is not radical, we must suspect it is a mere superstition.  The profession of a religious belief is a lie if it does not significantly determine one’s economic, political and social behavior.”
